In today's global landscape, sustainable supply chains are pivotal to achieving significant environmental progress.
By understanding the origin of emissions through the GHG Protocol, we can identify that Scope 3 emissions, which account for the majority some companies carbon footprint, are the primary challenge and opportunity in decarbonization. This talk will delve into the critical aspects of sustainability, including the ISO 20400 guidelines and the principles of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
We will explore effective tactics for reducing emissions, such as the concepts of sobriety, efficiency, and substitution, and present the "IPCC solutions framework" to outline strategic actions in logistics. Key levers for decarbonization will be discussed, emphasizing the involvement of stakeholders in co-creating solutions.
