Paul Clerc-RenaudHonorary President, French Chamber of Commerce

Paul Clerc-Renaud is a distinguished business leader and consultant with extensive experience in international trade. He co-founded and served as Managing Director of the Fargo Group of Companies from 1977 to 2020.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Paul has been actively involved in community and business organizations. He has served as the Honorary President of the French Chamber of Commerce since 1993 and has held various leadership roles, including President of the Hong Kong Chapter of the Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France. His commitment to fostering Franco-Hong Kong relations is further exemplified by his tenure as a trustee of the French/H.K. Solidarity Fund and as an ambassador for Invest Hong Kong.

Recently, Paul authored a new book titled Missionnaire au Kiang-si, and for the past ten years, he has co-edited La Lettre de la Chine hors les murs as part of the Asia Commission of the Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France. He is also a co-author of Hong Kong : Présences Françaises du XIXe siècle à nos jours, and founder of the magazine Hong Kong Echo.

Recognized for his contributions, Paul has received several honors, including the Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite in 1994 and the Chevalier/Officier de La Légion d’Honneur in 2001 and 2014. He continues to inspire future generations through his involvement with HEC Hong Kong alumni and various other initiatives.
