Ir. H.W. ChanDeputy General Manager – Operations Innovation Hub MTR Corporation Limited

Ir. Chan is currently leading Operations Innovation Hub in MTR.   He is widely experienced in communications, control and network systems and has over 30 years of related exposures, most of which have been associated with the MTR Corporation in Hong Kong. Mr. Chan has broad experience in a no. of railways around the region with in-depth knowledge in many telecom, control facilities and network in use by railways. He heads up a team of engineers and data analysts to drive innovation by introducing smart technology for enhancement of railway operations and maintenance.  The introduction of the IoT, Data Analytics, and smart systems contributes to the Corporate growth and support the improvement of staff and passengers’ safety, railway operation and maintenance efficiency and also customer experience. He has also shared expert opinions for the adoption of smart transport and digitalization to MTR hubs in China and overseas.
