The French Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong hosted its landmark event of the year, the 2024 Gala, on a night that was truly magnetic in every sense. With nearly 600 esteemed guests in attendance, the event was a resounding success, celebrating the vibrant Franco-Hong Kong business community and fostering connections that will resonate for years to come.

In 2024, marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and China, we were especially privileged to host a delegation from China at our Gala Dinner. We were honoured to welcome several distinguished guests of honour, whose presence elevated the evening's prestige. His Excellency Mr Bertrand Lortholary, the Ambassador to China, graced us with his insightful perspectives. We were also privileged to host Ms Bernadette Linn, Secretary for Development, HKSAR, whose participation underscored the significance of our ongoing collaboration. Mme la Consule Generale, Christile Drulhe, graced us with her presence, continuing her unwavering support for our community and its endeavours.

The theme of this year's Gala, "Magnetic," encapsulated the allure and dynamic energy that characterise the relationship between France and Hong Kong. The evening's décor, entertainment, and overall ambiance were meticulously designed to reflect this theme, creating an atmosphere that was both enchanting and electrifying. Guests were captivated by the magnetic performances and the elegant setting, which served as a perfect backdrop for meaningful interactions and celebrations.

The Gala Dinner also served as a platform to raise funds for a great cause. All proceeds from the silent and live auctions were dedicated to The French Chamber Foundation - Make it Work, supporting its invaluable mission of empowering low-income workers in Hong Kong to enhance their livelihoods. This initiative is at the heart of our community's efforts to give back and make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
