Our client produces natural ingredients for the food, flavourings, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic industries and is now the world leader in its field.
The role is based in Hong Kong and involves frequent travel.
Directly report to the Sales Director Greater China, you are responsible for developing sales in India on the Nutraceutical, Pharma and Personal Care markets. You manages and develops a professional customer portfolio for Hong Kong and South China, to whom you promote the products. As the client's first point of contact, you represent the brands and ensures customer satisfaction.
Your main responsibilities are:
Tracking and developing the customer portfolio
o Working to establish quantified targets (volume, margins, etc.) in your area and aligning your own actions to achieve them
o Organising and carrying out canvassing
o Expanding and developing existing accounts with a view to building customer loyalty
o Regularly visiting the sites of customers in the portfolio and ensuring support (review)
o Identifying customers' plans and tracking their development
o Continuously improving your market knowledge, especially by discussing matters with customers
Sales, advice and customer support directly or via an agent
o Identifying and understanding what matters to the customer in the context of sales meetings
o Providing assistance and technical recommendations to customers
o Presenting and tailoring sales offerings to customers' stated needs
o Providing an interface between R&D and the customers in specific development projects
o Drawing up and negotiating sales proposals up to contract signing
o Managing the after-sales follow-up and monitoring customer satisfaction
o Activating customer files in conjunction with the sales assistants
o Reporting regularly on your sales activities and results
This role requires frequent business travel (approx. 50 % of the time).
The Sales Manager is the customer's "emergency contact" who notifies the internal services concerned.
Post Graduate in Pharma, Chemistry, Agriculture or MBA in Sales/Marketing
Minimum 5 years of experience as a B2B Sales Manager (Ingredient sales preferred)
Fluency in the local language and in English, both written and spoken
Expertise in sales and negotiation techniques
Expertise in the Group's product range and customer applications
