We are the design brand to the mobile accessory business, available in the finest stores globally and exported to more than 50 countries, is looking for ‘A’ player to become member of the HK team. Based in Hong Kong, the successful applicant will join a young, international and dynamic team dedicated to develop our Brand.

About the role

  • Hong Kong based with frequent travels to Shenzhen and Guangdong province.
  • Manage the development execution of our products.
  • Program management from product design concept through the shipment of the first purchase.
  • Ultimately responsible and accountable for the launch of his category of products, including but not limited to: supplier sourcing and qualification, management of the schedule, costing, design, testing, regulatory compliance, and mass production #1. 
  • Obtain all stakeholder inputs and plan for successful navigation of control gates.
  • Ensure appropriate closure of projects and handover to Production Team.
  • Promote collaborative decision-making, provide directions and establish a sense of urgency to the suppliers.
  • Evaluate risks to program objectives and be comfortable making difficult decisions, as well as capable of making sound business and technical decisions under time pressure and with minimal guidance. 
  • Intensive interaction with Design, Engineering, Quality, Sales Teams, and external vendors.
  • Comfortably address communication with people at all levels, including senior management.
     

Mains responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Review and analyze new product design brief
    • Create, develop and manage program schedule, resource plan, NRE budget, and product cost targets
    • Deliver programs on time, with the requested quality and within the initial budget
    • Ensure products comply with our internal quality standard as well as required regulatory standards, such as CE/IEC, UL, FCC, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65…
    • Identify risks and create B-plans whenever possible to avoid any last minute panic situation.
    • Report program status to management
    • Participate in process and business workflow improvements in product life cycle, cost-downs and quality improvements
    • 30% to 50% domestic (Southern China)
       

Requirements – Skills and abilities

  • BS degree in Engineering disciplines.
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in English and Mandarin are MUST
  • 8 – 10 years of experience in consumer electronic product development of which preferably over 2 years in mobile accessories such as USB chargers, Wall chargers, mobile phone case, wearable accessories, iOT, charging, etc.
  • Good understanding of cross-functional design and development process, especially related to Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Assurance Engineering
  • Extensive experience in working with China based ODM vendors in joint product development model required
  • Ability to develop program plans with concentration on meeting product performance, development of budgets and schedule goals
  • Ability to negotiate program and product tradeoffs
  • Good understanding of plastic injection or mobile accessories manufacturing processes and the ability to drive prototype / pilot builds as well as initial mass production
  • Good understanding to the product regulatory compliance listing process into global market, such as CE/IEC UL, FCC, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65 etc
  • Good understanding of retail Packaging and other marketing asset development processes
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent programs
  • Ability to resolve conflicts in a productive manner
  • Proven ability to build collaboration among team members
  • Ability to create professional documentations and presentations for executive and customer reports
  • Willing to adapt to flexible work hours and work hard towards controlling the launch date of the products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
