For our client, a well-known developer of skin care solutions with subsidiaries or distributors in more than 90 countries, we are currently looking for an Eastern Asia Area Manager.

  • Drive the strategy and sales across the region
  • Manage Distributors for the region
  • Support the Distributor in coordination with Regional Marketing Manager and Training Executives
  • Identify new opportunities for the Company
  • Launch brands to the market to exploit new opportunities


Main duties:

Responsible for 3 major Skin Care brands in China, Japan, Korea, South East Asia, the main duties are :

Own and drive the business: 
o Market expert : Report on all key market developments including overall consumer and regional market trends and partner with Distributors on any consumer research activities.
o Strategic thinking: Develop multi-year business strategy for regions in accordance with international Company’s strategy.
o Partnering: Build & nurture relationship with distributors, and influence them so that they understand and further embrace the Company’s vision.
o Report: Own quarterly business reviews.

Sales and Marketing:
o Develop sales strategies.
o Budget management : responsible for the sales revenue of the area, budget planning and definition of the price positioning with in-depth market analysis
o Build Marketing Plans, strategy & budget with Distributors in coordination with Regional Marketing Manager.

Business Development
o Identify potential partners, initiating discussions, and participating in negotiations to establish businesses in new territories and channels (spa & beauty salons, cosmetic stores & perfumeries, TV shopping, Pharmacies...).
o Close new business deals by coordinating requirements & negotiating contracts.
o Market new brands/products and enhance existing business
o Monitor development/expansion of the competition in respective markets.

Business Management
o Manage Distributor Relationships: key liaison with Distributors to ensure alignment of Company objectives.
o Manage issues on the ground and drive resolution with the Distributor.
o Product Sanitary Registration procedure follow-up and coordination with Regulatory Department and Distributors.
o Frequent travel to key markets to support execution and to build distributors relationships.
o Closely work with HQ (marketing, regulatory affairs, legal, export team) and in particular : export assistant (in HQ), export logistics assistant (in HQ), Regional Marketing Manager and Training Executives (in Hong Kong).



o 5-10 years' work experience with Wholesale and/or Retail business, in OTC/dermo-cosmetics, in Eastern Asia
o Based in Hong Kong
o Ability to travel throughout the region
o Strong communication and influencing skills
o Proven ability to drive business initiatives and dynamic business models
o Strong negotiation skills and experience in building strategic plans and developing new businesses
o Fluency in French and English.
