The BNP Paribas Cardif Challenge successfully concluded last week through the joined forces of BNP Paribas Cardif and Agorize, a leading community builder in Asia, specialised in launching online innovation challenges. This is one of the very first online startup competitions in Asia that aims to rethink the customer relationship in a new era of digital financial services.
The event attracted more than 100 startups and innovators from 14 different countries to demonstrate their revolutionary initiatives to solve challenges in the insurance market of BNP Paribas Cardif’s key regions in Asia. Last week, BNP Paribas Cardif co-organised the final round pitch and an award ceremony in Hong Kong for its first-ever startup challenge with Agorize Asia. Five finalists coming from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and India were selected to present their innovative products and services to the judging panel after two rounds of selection and a two-month mentoring session.
The next stage for BNP Paribas Cardif will involve the launch of pilot projects with these five startups.
The five finalists:
P9 (Japan): Innovative gamification proposition to use fun videos or games to increase self-awareness of insurance needs.
Inclusive Services (India): Tandurust app helps customers to manage family-level wellness data for better health monitoring and healthcare services.
Finotek (Korea): Provides fully integrated platform to re-invent CPI e-subscription process with a simple/safe/fast customer experience.
Trading Valley (Taiwan): AI driven robo-services to optimise performance for customers’ wealth and retirement savings solutions.
Smart Forecast (Korea): A solution to gain deeper knowledge of customers by providing targeted and personalised services.
